What's Cooking?

I've been getting back on track after a busy Fall, which is why my blog has been put to the side. In addition, my husband has his wisdom teeth pulled. It took him over a week to recover (his surgery was a little more complicated than some), and while he was in pain my little Princess was sick with a fever for three days. Then Picasso was sick. So between buying meds, taking care of hubby and everything else, it's been kind of crazy.

I love Fall, and I love cooking during this season. I'm always looking for the next best recipe, trying new casseroles, and baking. It's really detrimental to my waistline, but I try to give at least some of it away! My favorite fall basics.............chili, roast beef and mashed potatoes, cream of potato soup in the crockpot, ham, turkey, sweet potatoes, chocolate chip cookies, and banana bread. I also love those baby carrots in a brown sugar sauce with pork chops and stuffing. Yummm. Tomorrow I'm making snickerdoodles with Princess, and banana bread on Saturday. We have a baptism luncheon at the church Sunday, and our small group over that evening. The next few days will be spent doing a lot of planning, shopping, and baking. Any fall favorites at your house?

Oooh, I love your Chicken Chalupa casserole. In fact, I made it (with a few modifications cuz I ran out of cream of chicken soup) and it was a huge hit at our Pastor Appreciation luncheon. That I missed. While I was home sick with a fever. And no one saved me a bite.

I also make a lot of meatloaf, soups of all kinds and our fave, fave, fave, is French Chicken Stew. MMMMMM!
