Things I love about my family

I truly feel so blessed by my family. I sometimes feel like I'm one of the most blessed people on earth to be a part of this family. I cherish the moments with them, and I don't take for granted the special moments and memories we are building here. Princess and I made our first mini-snowman of the year today. She was giddy, bubbly, and joyful as she looked at the first snow of the season, almost like she'd never seen it before! It was so cute and made me think of all the things I love about her, and the rest of my family. It was just her and I, as Scout was down the street playing football with a bunch of neighbor boys, Picasso was getting her hair colored, and hubby was at a meeting (in sunny Florida). As much as I wanted to stay inside with a hot cup of tea to nurse my headache and tired body, it was hard to resist Princess's pleas for me to come out with her. So as we bundled up, I began to think about how thankful I am for my family....

My Guy: He's caring, patient, loves the Lord, wants to always do the right thing, teaches our kids how to make good choices and love the Lord, he enjoys being home with us, he listens to us, rarely have I heard him talk negatively about others, loyal loyal loyal, faithful to me, he's a hard worker and good at what he does, he's very smart, especially with math, finances, politics, he asks me how I am and how my day was, he noticed my hair was highlighted the other day, he brings me special things I enjoy, he disciplines the kids and puts them to bed, he vacuums, he likes most everything I cook (and if he doesn't like it, he doesn't say so!).

Picasso: She's thoughtful and caring to others, she gives sweet hugs, she loves Jesus and wants to follow Him, she stands up for doing the right even when others aren't, she and her sister are buddies, she's always singing, she loves to be with family, at almost 13 she's not ashamed to hug me in front of her friends, she is sensitive and kind to friends and family, and happy for their successes. She's playful, and likes to sing, draw, and play volleyball. She understands people, and has much compassion for others. She loves my cooking.

Scout: He's fun, playful, gives wonderfully cuddly hugs, he hugs me when I'm having a bad moment, he helps out when asked, he's smart and has always had many thought-provoking deep questions, he loves going to church over going to baseball, he loves the Lord, he enjoys hanging out with Dad, he's very loyal, faithful, he is a trusted friend, he's a loyal Cub Scout, he likes to read. It's easy to be happy when he smiles at you. He often has a funny joke or story to lighten the moments and make us laugh or make us think.

Princess: She's sweet, joyful, loves her family and friends, is sensitive and she's happy for her friends and family when something good happens to them, she loves to have fun, she's caring, thoughtful, gives lots of hugs, very helpful and often cheerfully asking to help me with cleaning and baking, she loves to read and do her math, her laugh is so great, she's enthusiastic about church, reading the Bible. She gives us back massages.

etc. etc. etc....!!
