Family and Fun

We've just had a super visit with my parents and their baby.....their dog Buddy. It's been so great to just "hang out" with them. A lot of people can't just "hang out" with their 69 and 71 year old parents, but I can. We eat, we talk, we laugh, we go to church, nap, play silly games with the kids, take walks, and just LIVE. The kids have soaked up all the Grandma and Grandpa time. My oldest sang them the song she sang in church last week, my youngest tries hard to be part of the "grown up" conversation, and my middle one loves playing with their dog, Buddy, on the floor. Now they are home until their big trip to Hawaii. We just love Grandma and Grandpa, and the fact that they don't mind just being a part of things here. My mom is such a great help with dishes, laundry, etc. Just don't put a cup down unless you tell her "this is mine...I'm saving it" or she'll have it in the dishwasher. My house is always sparkling clean and neat when they leave. Now that they are gone, we're back into a routine of reading, chores, and more summer.
