A Year Later....Creative Writing, and stuff....

I checked back on my blog today, and was pleasantly surprised to find out it's still here. Once in a while I do come on to write something, but usually I'm interrupted by someone or something, or I'm just too tired to be creative! It seems when Fall hits, I'm in the "blog" mood....checking others blogs, writing my own. Maybe I should write more often than once a year!! Speaking of writing. We're doing a heck of a lot of that this school year. We're using a program called "Institute for Excellence in Writing". I've been tempted to purchase this DVD program for the kids. However, one smallish/biggish thing has stopped me...the price. It's way over the top in price. But after viewing it with the kids, now I KNOW WHY!! The kids have improved greatly in just 5 weeks. Now instead of "The sky looked nice", I'm reading things like "The sky outside was bright and beautiful". They're finally getting it.
What's going on with me these days? Well, a year is a lot to catch up on, so I'll just mention one thing at a time. I had a big Birthday this year...yes, the big one. My guy surprised me with a trip to Florida, and we had a fantastic trip. Another exciting new thing in my life is Art Class...yep, I'm finally taking art classes, something I've been dreaming about for years. Well, that someday is finally here. I've been to 3 classes, and I love it!! I soooo look forward to Tuesday mornings. I should finish my first painting in the next two weeks. Every decade or so it's good to do something you've been dreaming about. I'll let you know how it turns out.
