A local homeschool group set up a field trip to the Baltimore Aquarium today. A friend and our 4 kids left at the wee hours of the morning to make the trip. It is a fantastic aquarium, and we loved peering into the tanks, looking for the octopus, finding the tree frogs, and being splashed by the dolphins. However, I must admit sometimes the PEOPLE are more interesting than the exhibits. Would trips like this be interesting without all the people? I don't think so. For instance, I sat behind a school group during the dolphin show. A boy about 9 years old sat in front of me..........with a BLUE MOHAWK. Hmmmm...I couldn't figure it out...did I miss the memo that it was Halloween Day at the aquarium?.......was it a prank?......did he want to match the water in the tanks? OK, I'm sounding a little critical here, but what's so ironic is that the last time we were at the aquarium, 4 years ago, there was a punker dude in the gift store with a 12 inch BLUE MOHAWK on top of his head. Today, Scout pointed to the exact spot where we saw the guy with the blue mohawk in the gift store 4 years ago. Made quite an impression on him. So, what's with the blue mohawks?
P.S. They were serving fish sandwiches in the aquarium cafeteria.

Fish in the cafeteria? Ugh. The irony!
You are more like your brother than you know - wherever we go, he always finds people watching to be more interesting than the event which we are attending!
