Two for Two--Funny

Spills…Messes…Cleanups…Spills….Messes….Cleanups.

When the kids were little, it was a normal day when I cleaned up two or three glasses of spilled milk, juice, or water. Now that they’re older, you’d expect that wouldn’t happen as frequently, and it doesn’t. This week, however, brings me back to “those days!”

Monday: "Mom! I dropped the V8 juice on the floor” said Scout. “OK…clean it up” I say. Out came the mop, bowl, and lots of groaning and mopping.
Later in the day………Sticky floor, mom wipes floor, sticky floor, mom wipes floor. Today…sticky floor, mom wipes floor. Was that juice or tar? I ask myself

Tuesday: ”Ooohhh…I’m going to shake this diet soda and put it in the freezer!” says Princess. “No!” I say…it will burst. “Oh, really?” she said.

Later: I’m cooking pasta, and hear a big “POP!” come from the freezer/fridge. I open the freezer, and there it is……..a can of this particular diet soda dripping out of the freezer, all over the floor.

Well, at least I find out it wasn’t Princess. It was Scout. Before assuming disobedience, I ask him “Why did you put that soda in the freezer? Did you hear my conversation with Princess?” “No, I didn’t. I’ve put sodas in the freezer before, and it didn’t do that”. I have to admit, so have I. So I tell him the same thing I said the day before "OK…start cleaning.”
