Happy Valentine's Day!

Hope you're spending Valentine's Day with someone you love. We are. We're spending it with the kiddos, then tonight out to eat, just hubby and I. Yay! It's been too long since we've been out. Staying on our theme of living frugally, we are using a $50 rebate card we received from upgrading a cell phone to pay for our dinner.

Hopefully you'll give that special person in your life some extra special lovin' today. In thinking about how to give and receive love, I heard a minister on our local Christian radio station talking about giving love to somebody based on their love language, not your own. It's easy to give love the way you want to receive it, but much harder to find a way to speak to someone's specific love langauge. For example, let's say your husband shows his love through gifts, and material things, and you show your love with words. Well, it makes sense to give your guy a special gift, something really nice, and for him to give you all kinds of compliments and gushy love comments. That would be great if this always happened, huh? I've learned over the years to concentrate on the giving, not the receiving. So, look for your loved one's love languages, and consider speaking their language today. It seems funny to think about how to love somebody, but it'll be worth it, I'm sure!

P.S.....For those interested in the laundry detergent from the previous post, I found the last ingredient, and I'll post the recipe next time.
